i Tunes uses i Tunes library files and your i Tunes Media folder to organize and store your media.
If i Tunes is already installed, you will have to transfer your music manually. If you don't know where they are, double-click on "My Computer" and search for digital music files. You can decide to leave your digital music files where they are and i Tunes will be able to play them.I do radio shows, sporting events, parties, parades, and yes, weddings.I’ve saved my playlist from every gig I’ve ever had. From the i Tunes "Edit" menu, select, "Preferences." Click on the "Advanced" tab.Check or uncheck the box labeled "Copy Files to i Tunes Music Folder when Adding to Library" depending on what you have decided.A quick look at the folder sizes inside my Mac Book hard drive shows that the i Tunes folder occupies a large area on that near-full storage space.
To regain some room to breathe, I decided to move my collections to an external drive.
Aside from the simplicity, the reason I chose it is because it’s applicable for both Windows and Mac.
The following process was done using the Mac version of i Tunes, but the steps are similar under the Windows version.
From the menu bar at the top of your computer screen, choose On the Advanced tab of i Tunes Preferences, you can choose where you store and how you organize your i Tunes media files.
On the Advanced tab, look in the box under "i Tunes Media folder location" for the location of your i Tunes Media folder.
I’ve been using i Tunes to manage my music library since it was first released in 2001.
